To day is a full day in Tryon with a meeting of the 10 District Med ical Society bringing 100 doc tors and their wives. It convenes at 2: CO at the Parish House. The wives will be taken on a tour and visit to Pearson’s Falls while the doctors are holding their clinics. The combined groups will have a dinner tonight at 7:30 at Oak Hall. . And this afternoon Tryon’s new high school building will be dedicated with an appropriate program featured by an address by D. Hiden Ramsey, vice chair • of the State Board of Educa and also vice president, of “the Asheville Citizen-Times. The public 5s invited to the open house following the- program. . . Oak Hall is also full of pretty girls modeling the Deep Coun try Clothes advertised in the Bul letin . . Today is the day of the big sale of Azaleas by the Men’s Club of the Episcopal Church. When one takes a look at the beautiful display of Azaleas in W. L. (Pop) Burnette’s yard on ! Grady Ave. it creates a desire to have something like it in your own yard . . Chairman Jim Mar shall of the Gymkhana committee invites everybody, young and old j to take part in the events Saturday _Continued on Bark Bage_* Dedicate School Today The dedication program for the new Tryon High School will be held at 1:30, Wednesday after noon, April 2. The program will include In vocation by James Johnson, Presi dent of the Senior Class; song by Tryon High School Glee Club; presentation of guests by superin tendent; group singing by entire assembly; introduction of speaker by superintendent; address by D. Hiden Ramsey; and closing song by Glee Club. Mrs. Clarence Rhodes will direct the Glee Club and lead the group singing. Following the program every body is invited to inspect both the old and new buildings and to visit with classroom teachers. HOSPITAL NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Allison Martin are parents of a daughter, Pamela Anne, born Tuesday, April 1 at 2:37 p. m. at St. Lukes Hospital. She weighed seven pounds. M. B. Owens of Saluda was dis charged from the hospital. Recent arrivals at Bucking ham Inn include Mr. and Mrs. Earl M. Clark, Camden, Maine; Donald F. Ailien, Throop, Pa; Miss M. G. Scott, Mrs. John Stoop, Fort Wayne, Ind; Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Hoffman and Miss Wake man, Berea, Ohio; W. C. Smith Jr., Charlotte; Mr. and W. Noyes, Somerville, Mass.; M. P. Cdllins, Atlanta; Stanislas Czet wertynski, Charlotte; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Both, Cleveland, 0. R. T. Whalen of Richland, Mich, has arrived in Tryon to join Mrs. Whalen at the Baker Woodview cottage.
